Coverage
On Saturday (07/01/2017) Israeli activists tried to reach the area of Nabi Ilyas to participate in protests against land confiscation and the uprooting of trees owned by Palestinians to build a road. The soldiers would not let the bus pass with false claims that it is a closed military zone, but the activists returned to their private cars and helped the Palestinians to put signs on trees marked for uprooting. That evening the village of Izbat Tabib was raided and stun grenades were thrown at the homes of residents who participated in the demonstration. On Sunday morning, dozens of trees were uprooted.
