Story
Hilel and Jenny insisted to marry in Civil Marriage in Israel, by the Jewish tradition but not though the rabbinate, the orthodox institution in Israel, without going abroad to be wed in a formal civil marriage and without paying thousands of Shekels to be wed by non-profit organization or celebrities. Their wedding, to which they had arrived by bus, was meant to be a wedding protest and took place outside of Tzipi Livni, the justice minister in demand that the marriage institution will be at the hands of the Ministry of Justice instead of the Ministry of the Interior. Absent were all the misters an parliament members that talked about civil marriage right before the elections. For Hilel and Jenny this is only the first act in the struggle for recognizing Civil Marriage in Israel. Language:
