Bridges Instead of Walls

Coverage Hundreds of Israelis and Palestinians marched (Saturday, 16/9/2017) in a march marking the International Day of Peace in solidarity with the residents of al-Walaja. The march, entitled "Build Bridges, Not Walls," was held in protest against the demolition of houses in al-Walaja and the construction of a wall that will surround the village and prevent access to the spring and farmland. The march was supposed to end at the rally, but for fear that this activity would result in the normalization of the occupation, some residents of al-Walaja prevented the march from entering the village and the holding of the rally.
