Stepping On The Gas

Story Residents of Emek Hefer are conducting a persistent fight against a state initiative to build a gas refining facility near their homes. Last week, the District Committee for Planning and Building met to discuss the objections of residents. This was after the National Planning and Construction Commission approved the construction of the land refining facilities. Indeed, the exploration of offshore natural gas reserves ushers in a new era of green energy, but questionable procedures have been accelerated to appease the desire of developers to profit quickly, which will be at the public’s expense.
