Two violent incidents occurred between settlers and Palestinians near the villages of Jalud and Qusra. The report, shown on the state-run Channel One’s weekend edition, revealed flared tempers in the West Bank. The report presents the Palestinians as the initiators of the violence. The Palestinian version of events was documented by “B’tselem”, an organization seen to be pro-Palestinian. Contrarily, the settler’s version was presented by an observer organization, and included footage from Channel One – adding an aura of journalistic authenticity. Instead of sticking to the facts, Channel One’s report is biased, tendentious and one-sided. Has the state-run TV station forgotten its true role?
