Story
Issa Suf, a resident of Hares in the Salfit district of the West Bank, while paralyzed from the waist down, stands firm against the occupation. Every Friday he shows up for demonstrations against the military occupation in the area, and harnesses him to fight for unexpected partners. On the way back from the demonstration, Issa shows us the roads that Israel paved that block the passage of shepherds and another gate which blocks entrance to the entire village. He took us to areas where olive trees had been uprooted—all before there was even mention of the violent hilltop youth. Of Israeli society, Issa says: "People inside Israel ignore what is happening here. They live in the shadows, live pampered lives, and do not know what their sons in the army come to do here."
